Simlog’s Tower Crane Personal Simulator puts the trainee at the controls of a virtual crane. Minimizing cost and liability in heavy equipment operator training by preparing crane operators in a virtual environment. The virtual environment provides experience operating a modern freestanding top-slewing tower crane with a trolley jib.
Industrial controls and instruments mimic real world crane controls with readings for slew angle, working radius, lowering depth (hook height), and load weight. Function keys change perspective in the virtual environment so that the operator can gain an understanding of how the crane operates within the worksite.

Tower Crane Virtual Controls and Operation
The industrial strength crane controls provide an authentic experience to train tower crane operators. The control sticks include 8 push buttons for the thumb and a trigger. Controls are available with table mount brackets to mimic positioning relative to a crane operator’s chair, or complete your heavy equipment training setup with our Simlog Operator Chair.
Controls are compatible with other heavy equipment training packages including the hydraulic excavator, bulldozer, wheel loader, mobile crane, forklift, harvester, forwarder, and drill jumbo personal simulators.

Save Money on Heavy Equipment Training
Heavy equipment operator training can be expensive, and there is a risk of liability when the operator trainee takes the controls of a live crane. Through Simlog, you can streamline your training budget and increase the effectiveness of your training program by allowing trainees to have a lot more time working with crane controls without needing to set aside a live crane equipment at the job site.
Backhoe Loader Operator Training Modules
The tower crane operator training software comes with 6 module. Each module increases in difficulty and builds on the skills developed in previous modules. The software tracks a number key performance indicators to that you will have a lot more insight into operator performance. In addition to task completion, Simlog tracks execution time, maximum load sway, number of load and obstacle collisions, and the number of 2-blocking occurrences. Feedback is provided to identify opportunities for additional training and improvement.
Training modules include:
- Load Control 1
- Load Control 2
- Executing Lifts
- Steel Erection
- Concrete Bucket Placement
- Form Following
