Matrix

To assist with remote learning, Matrix is giving Flowcode away for free to all students of institutions who have been forced into long-distance/e-learning as a result of COVID-19.

What You Receive:

Flowcode includes 500 licenses per institution, which students can download on their own laptop / PC at home. Only an internet connection is required.

Flowcode is an advanced, integrated development environment for electronic and electromechanical system development. Flowcode is used to develop systems for control and measurement based on microcontrollers, computers or on rugged industrial interfaces using Windows compatible personal computers.

Flowcode is compatible with a range of hardware, and its advanced simulation allows students to learn with no hardware at all. Flowcode’s ability to simulate the user’s programs, as well as compatibility with 3D CAD packages such as Solidworks, allows those who are developing electromechanical designs to characterize and model them easily. Built into Flowcode is a data recorder and oscilloscope which makes test and debugging procedures straightforward.

The support guide talks beginners through how to use the program and shows results in both simulation mode or with connected hardware. In addition, it offers a range of courses, free to download from our learning center, including an introduction to microcontroller programming.

For more information or to register visit Matrix. License requests will be processed within 24 hours to get students up and running again as soon as possible.

Materialise

Door handles are among the most germ-infested objects in houses, hospitals, factories, nursing homes, and businesses of all kinds. We stand with Materialise behind their mission to build a better and healthier world, which is why we’re sharing free design files that enable you to 3D print hands-free door openers. Careful analyses by risk prevention advisors on how viruses spread confirm that we can reduce the odds of further passing on COVID-19. Let’s work together to stop the spread! Get yours and stop spreading germs!

Our design files are free for anyone to download on our website, making it possible to 3D print locally at home or factories around the world. Or, visit our i.materialise shop to order the openers with screws included.

Hands free door opener technical

How It Works:

If you know how to design for 3D printing and would like to adapt the files to fit over other door handle types, we encourage you to create your own and share with the world. Let’s make hands-free stick around!

Materialise designed the handle with easy installation in mind. The easy-to-use openers don’t require drilling holes or replacing your door’s handle. Setting it up is simple: all you have to do is fasten two 3D-printed pieces together with screws over your existing handle.

We also designed a sticker to be placed on doors with the openers. This sticker shows a basic illustration of how the device should be used along with the rationale that it is there to prevent people from spreading germs.  Download our free sticker file.
