It’s Prime Certification Time for SOLIDWORKS!

As summer gets closer and many of your students are only weeks from graduation, how can you ensure they are prepared for their future careers? Every lesson, project, and presentation has equipped them with the skills they need to succeed, but certifications can give them another advantage when working towards their dream job.

SOLIDWORKS certifications are a great way to signal to future employers that your students are prepared to meet the demands of the workplace with expertise and new ideas.

And it’s prime time for SOLIDWORKS certifications!

Which SOLIDWORKS Certification Should Your Students Take?

There are three levels of SOLIDWORKS certification: Associate, Professional, and Expert.

The Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate Certification (CSWA) provides a basic skills test to show that students are confident in the software and can model prismatic mechanical parts. We recommend the SOLIDWORKS Associate certification for students interested in careers related to computer-aided design.

How Much Prep Time Do Students Need for a SOLIDWORKS Certification?

Preparation for these certifications will depend on the student’s familiarity with the software and confidence in their knowledge base. If your students have worked with SOLIDWORKS through classroom learning, six to nine months often provide students with adequate experience in the areas addressed on the certification exam.

If students pursue a SOLIDWORKS certification outside of a classroom setting, completing practice exercises and taking practice exams are great ways to prepare. Students can complete these on their preferred timeline.

Here are some ways your students can prepare for a SOLIDWORKS certification exam!
